In the five-year plan, the Emirate of Abu Dhabi allocated 30 million dinars to develop the Emirates of the Oman Coast.
If the union of the Gulf Emirates and the coast of Oman is a geographical, national and economic necessity. The Emirate of Abu Dhabi plays the role of the engine alongside its sisters in achieving the union.
Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan expressed this reality by saying: The fateful battle that the Arabs are waging requires them all to unite to erase shame and restore dignity to the Arab nation. The Arab world belongs to its people, and each one of us is required to bear his responsibility and carry out his full and undiminished duty to prevent the danger to which our entity is exposed.
He said: The people of Abu Dhabi are an integral part of the Arab nation and believe that they must play their role in defending every inch of the land of the great Arab homeland. We aspire to achieve the union of the Gulf Emirates and hope that we will be able to create a strong and impregnable state that will stand in the face of ambitions. Differences in viewpoints have occurred, so they should not stand in the way of the establishment of the union. We are brothers and each one of us has a point of view to express and believes to be correct. As for who is right and who is right, no one knows. However, we have achieved important steps that will be followed by broader steps to achieve the desired union, God willing.
As for our Arab policy in general, Sheikh Zayed said: “It is based on cooperation to the fullest extent with our sister Arab countries and contributing to every Arab action that achieves pride and dignity for the Arabs, and we also cooperate with the Emirates.
